The Iranian Leadership is also a Deadly Virus

The Iranian Leadership is also a Deadly Virus
Like the coronavirus, the Iranian government is an enemy of the people.
The Iranian government terrorizes and kills its own people.
Here are three recent examples.
First, in November 2019, the Iranian security forces, with encouragement from the leadership in Iran, killed more than fifteen hundred innocent protestors including men, women and children. Thousands more were arrested, detained and tortured.
Second, on January 8, 2020, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards shot down a Ukraine's airliner, killing 176 more innocent people. Many of the dead were Canadian-Iranians including my close friend Dr. Farhad Niknam. The Iranian government initially tried to cover up their crime but were soon exposed as the perpetrators.
Third, the Iranian government failed miserably in its response to the coronavirus. The dishonesty of the Iranian regime in dealing with this health crisis is responsible for countless preventable deaths in Iran and in other parts of the world from COVID-19.
This evil authoritarian regime cares more about its own hold on power than the human rights and safety and security of its people.
Fortunately for me, I can safely post my thoughts because I live in a democratic and free country which respects and protects human rights.  Every time I observe my wife and two daughters enjoying their freedoms and human rights as females in Canada, I am filled with happiness.  However, when I think of my fellow Iranians who are still trapped in Iran by a ruthless regime, a wave of sadness washes over me.
My prayers are with the Iranian people at this most difficult time.

  1. The government of Iran has been terrorizing his own population for far too long, I recall 1979 when the revolution was being celebrated, they spoke of freedom. Then they said freedom is not anarchy. Then they said Islamic Law is the solution. It was downhill from there. Their laws and regulations do not consider the population of Iran as nothing more than objects they can harm as they wish. Prior to leaving Iran, circa 1983/84, I recall seeing things that are mind boggling. It has only become worse, it is a regime with ZERO respect for human rights, in fact, I'd say they encourage their thugs to continuously intermediate the public to keep them in check. I am glad you are here in Canada, safe. I wish everyone in Iran would one day be able to live in peace without fears that most Canadians (and I am thankful for that) have no concept quantifying.

  7. Iranian leader is not the key problem. The whole system works like a rendered ISIS.They have created a Shite Crescent from Afghanistan to Ghaza . the regime have no geographical border but ideological one. They have taken Iranian as hostage for their evil aspiration. So I think whole system is like a devastating virus.

  9. Sitting here and watching your family members and friends face suppression, unemployment, financial issues and neglect from authorities is one of the hardest experience that an immigrant can face. Iran’s population is very young and they want better life with more opportunities, but the government is not flexible enough to adapt new visions that this new generation is demanding.

  10. This is so sad to see how our country is destroying by the dictators ruling Iran. The laws in Iran are never followed and written under Islam but are just whatever they like everybody to believe is based on this religion. It is heartbreaking that I see people prefer to leave their homeland only because they are not even allowed to say and expect their basic rights and have to fight over every single need which is not according the regime's decision but is against the humanity!!

  11. I believe that, most of the Iranian people are hostages of the criminal regime. Mad Leader is a deadly virus for people health and also his absurd decision made dangerous situation for all people, like returning the recent medical equipment which has been sent by Doctors Without Borders to Isfahan.

  12. I believe Iran government spread the Corona virus inside the country to distract people’s brain from their basic & everyday’s life deficiencies & concentration on government’s acts. They start new phase of opponents elimination In the shadow of Corona virus!

  13. Iran regime is corrupted and doesn't care about citizens , in case of corona virus they are guilty because they didn't inform citizens that this killing virus enter Iran just because of Iran's parliamentary elections which means playing with citizens life.

  15. Thanks so much for this article. I've been able to meet and befriend several Persians since I've been back in Toronto and am amazed at their love for their country, fellow Iranians and … me! What a gift of friendship and love! SO, I've begun to pray for the leaders of Iran - that God would bless them with overwhelming love, dreams and visions of Jesus, the Messiah and true hope for the future. As my prayers are answered, God will change bad men into good men, proud men into humble men and enslaved men into free ones. The rest will follow :) God bless you, too, more than you expect!

  17. I cant believe that they like to kill people and don't respect with freedom speaking . when the patrol and oil went up people against government they killed them to shut up. they crashed the airplane and they said it was an accident. I hope Jesus help them to open their eyes and say sorry to people . leaders don't like to be humble.

  18. leaders want to kill Iranian. they don't let us to have freedom . they don't let woman to have freedom and choose their clothes . they don't let people to select religion. leaders kill people always as like an airplane accident ,oil price goes up , and choose Mirhossein for president.
Iranian history is terrible. Always forced them to do things. hope one day they go away from our country.

  20. I am living here (currently in self-isolation) in beautiful, beloved Canada, a lawful, modern, democratic and developed country which respects humanity and freedom. But my mind and my heart are still back in Iran with my friends and homeland people who are suffering at the hands of an oppressive Islamic regime.
Iranians by nature are not the mobs supporting the Mullahs. The Iranians that I know are very good and peaceful people. They are very educated, cultured and want to enjoy life just like people of other nations. They crave freedoms and human rights.
Leaders who have just a bit of dignity and patriotism always move towards developing and progression of the country. They care about the nation and the future generation, however this Islamic government tragically is destroying our lives and culture day by day.
The dogmatic Islamic government has promoted and enforced a false version of the Quran to control and suppress the Iranian people. For example, Hijab is not advised in Quran but the Iranian Islamic authorities force women to wear hijab in public or face harsh punishment. It mentions in Quran that people have the right to choose their own religion, but in Iran everyone is forced to follow Islamic law and Muslims can be executed for converting their religion.
Iran has oil, but it is used to enrich the selected politicians and their supporters only. Ordinary people are struggling with basic needs, but the leaders do not care about ordinary people. Apparently most of the actions took and decisions made by the government of Iran has put the Iranian citizens under more and more pressure.

The Islamic regime is an enemy of democracy. There are no free and fair elections in Iran. We are powerless to change the Islamic regime and all protests are met with lethal force. The Islamic regime has so much blood on its dirty hands.
This devilish Islamic government has ruled with fear and terror for more than four decades by suppressing human rights and freedoms and by killing people and hope, meanwhile they selfishly are confident that no one can punish or stop them for these abuses.

I pray for a swift end to the Islamic regime in Iran just like I pray for a swift end to this pandemic.

P.S. At least Coronavirus brings people closer together but that virus is a real disaster.

  22. The iranian regime has continiously damaged the people of Iran a lot worse than the virus. The iranian regime has terrorized and destroyed humanitarian values, more than the virus they claim to be "deadly". I could not agree more with what has been said here.
